In the past six months since graduating from PSU, my father Joel, myself and another partner started an LED lighting business called Green Lighting LED. We sell high quality, UL approved LED lighting products throughout the USA. It would be really great to feature where we are and projects we have worked on as a company - www.GreenLightingLED.com.

Since late 2010, I've been working for Advanced AV primarily on site at our client, Shire Pharmaceuticals, managing our onsite service team and overseeing Shire's major integration projects. It's been a challenge, but the team has settled into a groove and things are moving along smoothly, with us about to wrap up the contract extension for the upcoming year.
Personally, I've been coaching my son's ice hockey team and ran into Clanny when our son's teams played each other. It's been very rewarding and a lot of fun working with the kids and seeing them develop as hockey players. My family is great and along with my son, my wife and daughter are doing well.
I do get to see some brothers from time to time as family get-togethers and hunting have gotten me together with Karl, Burke, and Clint. I'm also starting a hockey team with Brian Anderson. Many of my Kappa Sig bonds are staying strong.

My wife and I had our first child, a daughter, Haleigh Anne Tatem born May 29, 2009. We couldn't be happier and will do my best to make sure she never marries any guys like me or the guys from the house!!! In addition my wife and I made it down to Orlando for the very soggy Capital One Bowl and saw a great Penn State win. It was funny sitting in the student section and seeing kids who were so drunk, who could ever get like that at a football game :) Thanks to dave Albrecht for organizing a great tailgate despite the weather and to Darby for drinking all my beer.

Hey guys, I've been way out of the loop for a long long time. I'm still in Pittsburgh and something tells me I always will be. I would love to hear from anyone from the late 80's early 90's, especially Rob Bruce, Steve Guzo, Craig Harris, Doug Bowman. What a great crew we were, really miss those days. We all have our own feelings about the old house, but I have the greatest memories of that place. Best party room in the world, nicest hardwood floors in the dining and living rooms (until someone decided it was a good idea to stain them). And the best cook in the world, Mary Ellen. God bless her. Hope she's doing OK. Who can forget the beef burgundy or happy hour wings? Or the many hours of classes we missed watching Price is Right? In the words of the great Doug Hummel, "How's she gonna fit all that furniture in that ralph Kramden apartment she's livin' in?" Or the hotel socials with B list sororities cuz we just didn't care. Beautiful. And as for grades...I do remember one semester that we all pulled together and got a house GPA of like 3.4, one of the top 5 on campus. OK, one semester but still. My initiation was on April 22, 1988 and I'll never forget it. Skull had a hottub on their front porch because it was Greek Week (and Earth Day, by the way) and we decided it was a good idea to jump in it at like 6AM after initiation. with no resistance from any Skull brothers. That was by far one of my favorite memories in that house. I loved that house. It was home and it wasn't pretty (neither were we) but it was ours. We'll probably have a killer chapter house in the near future but that old house will always hold a special place in my memories. So long, 255 Highland Avenue.

Please drop a line and if you're in the Burgh let's have a beer! Maybe a Malt Liquor Bull in memory of the many luaus that also hover in our memories. Email is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Hope to hear from some of you soon -

Jenny and I now have 4 children, Stephen, Tess, Josephine and Elizabeth. We live in the Annapolis, MD area. I also recently accepted a position on the Department of Justice's Board of Immigration Appeals.

I'd like to hear from folks from the late 80s and I'm glad to learn of the chapter's recent progress. If you are ever in the DC or Annapolis area, stop by for a visit!
