One of the best weekends of the year is almost here! Blue-White Weekend 2017 will take place over April 21-23, with the game scheduled for Saturday, April 22 at 3 p.m. But the fun won’t just stop at football.

This year, Penn State will let you make your weekend complete at the ballpark, with the baseball team hosting Northwestern for a three game series beginning Friday, April 21. Then on Sunday, you can have fun for a great cause at the annual Paterno Family Beaver Stadium Run, which benefits Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

Beaver Stadium Run

The 8th Annual Paterno Family Beaver Stadium 5K and 2 Mile Family Fun Walk, presented by the Sheetz Family, will be held on Sunday, April 23 at Penn State University.

Proceeds from the Run benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania and nearly 20,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Every fundraising achievement helps them send more athletes to State, National and World Games. Plus, every participant gets to run through the players’ tunnel and cross the finish line on the 50-yard-line of Beaver Stadium. The Run is a blast for a great cause every year!

You can register as an individual or as a team (children 8 and under are free), and choose either the 5K run or the 2 mile Family Fun Walk.
